New York Streets Active

Alfresco NYC

Open Restaurants and Open Streets programs have transformed New York City's streetscape — but their future is far from guaranteed. TSTC works to ensure these programs are accessible to all New Yorkers, equitably distributed across neighborhoods, and built on a sustainable, community-driven foundation for the long term.

Bus Turnaround

The Bus Turnaround Coalition is a diverse group of New York organizations determined to turn around the poor service that plagues New York City's bus system — the most-used but most-neglected part of the transit network, with over 2 million rides taken every weekday. We're fighting for high-quality, fast, and reliable bus service for every neighborhood.

Fix Our Transit

Fix Our Transit is a coalition of over 100 transportation, environmental, business, labor, clergy, public health and justice organizations that backed congestion pricing in Manhattan, south of 59th Street. Congestion pricing reduces traffic gridlock, cuts tailpipe emissions, and generates critical revenue for the MTA's capital program.

Bee-Line Bus Riders Council

Created in 2021 to give Westchester County bus riders a voice, the Bee-Line Bus Riders Council raises awareness about unreliable service, antiquated infrastructure, outdated routes, and the lack of modern passenger amenities. Westchester's bus system connects thousands of essential workers — it deserves better investment and accountability.

Regional Rail for Metro NY

Our region's rail network is overly fragmented, forcing transfers and limiting the destinations people can reach. TSTC is building a coalition to advance a unified Regional Rail system — with frequent, all-day bidirectional service, accessible stations, and modern electric trains. The transformation of Penn Station is the linchpin of this vision.

New Jersey Transit Active

NJ Transit Bus Riders Council

Launched in 2018, the NJ Transit Bus Riders Council raises awareness about issues facing NJ Transit's bus riders — unreliable service, crumbling infrastructure, outdated routes, and the urgent need for modern amenities on buses and at stops. We amplify rider voices to hold NJ Transit accountable and push for the service improvements millions of New Jerseyans depend on.
