NYC Metro Area Bus Priority Projects Map

An interactive map of the region’s bus lane, busway, HOV lane, and bus network redesign initiatives

TSTC is working on several campaigns to expand bus priority projects in the Tri-State area. With growing traffic congestion on the region’s roads and highways, bus priority projects are increasingly necessary to deliver service that is faster, more efficient, and reliable.

The majority of the region’s bus priority projects are located in New York City, which currently has over 138 miles of bus lanes (only 2.3% of the city’s 6,074 miles of roads).

This interactive map was created as a resource for planners, advocates, and policymakers. A complete legend can be found by clicking the icon at the top left of the map. Click on a line for more information, such as year of implementation and hours of operation.
